CATTLE DECAPITATION Begins Mixing New Album

August 20, 2008

After being holed up in Sharkbite Studios for 18 days, San Diego extreme metallers CATTLE DECAPITATION, along with producer Billy Anderson, have begun mixing their fourth album, due out in early 2009 on Metal Blade Records worldwide.

This will mark the band's fourth release through Metal Blade and is taking shape as a natural progression for the band musically and content-wise. The as-yet-untitled effort will feature some "amazing guest appearances" (to be announced soon),and round out this sharp instrument of gore-laden extreme metal.

CATTLE DECAPITATION will showcase new songs this Friday night, August 22 in Oakland, California at The New Metro Operahouse. Also scheduled to appear are IMPALED, PHOBIA, MALIGNANCY, MARUTA and ILLOGICIST.

The first video diary documenting the recording sessions for the new CATTLE DECAPITATION CD can be viewed below. Songtitles set to appear on the new album include "Tooth Enamel & Concrete", "Regret & the Grave", "We Are Horrible People" and "The Body Farm". The artwork will be designed by Wes Benscoter.

CATTLE DECAPITATION's latest album, "Karma.Bloody.Karma", was released in July 2006 via Metal Blade Records. The CD was produced by Billy Anderson (SWANS, MR. BUNGLE, SLEEP) and features guest appearances by Joey Karam (THE LOCUST) and John Wiese (SUNN0)))),BASTARD NOISE).
